I know what it means to be low and in a dark place. So much so that I considered taking my own life at 33.
Friends and family had no idea, and anyone would be shocked I was struggling. I was married to an amazing woman, the dad to 3 incredible kids, and thriving in my first six-figure position in a career I had strived to grow in over 7 years. I had always been considered the life of the party, the storyteller, and loved to make people laugh and feel loved. No doubt about it, I was blessed.
But the truth was, I hated myself. I was neglecting responsibilities and relationships. I hated who I saw in the mirror and I thought I was such a burden to those around me that maybe I should just... go.
Spoiler Alert: By God's grace, I didn't.
By radically changing my relationship with effort I was able to improve my mental and physical health, better serve and care for my family, and grow my own business.
Ever since, I've shared my passion for growth by encouraging others to embrace the struggle in their own lives and businesses so they too can benefit from the lessons that saved my life.

My name is Charlie Van Liew
I'm a happily married, father of 3, elder-millenial from North Central Washington. I graduated from Digipen Institute of Technology in 2010 with a BFA in 3D Animation.
I built my career in Dental SaaS with years as the Director of Customer Experience at a 3-time Inc. 5000 business. After the company was acquired, I started Paladin Northwest to apply my knowledge and help others grow their businesses.

A true eclectic, when not enjoying the PNW with my family, I can be found in my garage gym, 3d printing and hand painting miniatures, target shooting, Mountain Biking, listening to Metal, and serving my local church.
